Dr Gerard McGranaghan
Gerard is a Researcher and Assistant Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at ITSligo. Gerard began as a mechanical apprentice and progressed through various technical and engineering roles in Industry and Education before his present role. He holds a BSc. from the Open University and BA BAI from Trinity College Dublin. In 2013 he was awarded a PhD in Heat Transfer also from Trinity College Dublin. He is now researching in the fields of metal Additive Manufacture and Heat Exchange devices. Gerard also spent 2 years as a UNV in Nepal and is interested in off grid energy and appropriate technology.
