Professor Klaus Zeppenfeld
Professor Dr. Klaus Zeppenfeld, national foundation representative and president of University of Applied Sciences Hamm Lippstadt since 2009 Professor Zeppenfeld is born in Werl/Germany. After Abitur (general qualification for university entrance in Germany) he studied computer sciences with minor field maths. Afterwards he attained a doctorate at the University Osnabrück/Germany where he also had been employed as assistant professor before. As a senior-consultant for Capgemini (formerly: sd&m – software design & management AG) Professor Zeppenfeld was responsible for differently projects for the holistic development of individual software for key-accountcustomers. From 2002 till 2012 he was supervisory board chairman at Brockhaus Software & Consulting AG. Further Professor Zeppenfeld is shareholder of KonWerl Zentrum GmbH. In 1997 he became a Professor of computer sciences at the University of Applied Sciences in Dortmund/Germany where he also became a dean of department, first step as an assistant in 1999 and as a dean in 2005. In 2009 he became founding president of Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences and now he is acting in his second term. Also he was author of many scientific educational books since 2004 and is editor-in-chief of the edition “Informatik-im-Fokus” of Springer Verlag. Professor Zeppenfeld is married and has two children.
