Dr Anne Graham
Anne Graham was appointed Associate Dean Research & Knowledge Transfer in the Faculty of Life Sciences in March 2016. This gives her responsibility for increasing research activity across the Faculty, signposting grant calls and coordinating large multidisciplinary grant applications.
She is an active researcher within the Advanced Healthcare theme, as Principle Investigator in cardiovascular disease. The focus of her research is study of the mechanisms which translate inflammatory signals in the endothelial cells lining the blood vessels into blood vessel dysfunction. Recent published work has focused on vascular complications in diabetes and the skin inflammatory disease psoriasis. She also works closely with Bradford Institute of Health Research. She has successfully supervised 13 PhD students and 3 MD students, most of who carried out laboratory based projects at Bradford. She has collaborations in National University of Singapore (Pathology), First Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat Sen University, Guangzhou China, Southern Medical University, Guangzhou China, University of Leeds and London Metropolitan University and is a member of the UK Council for Graduate Education working group on collaborative Doctorates where she recently was co-organiser of a national conference in Edinburgh on the subject.
