Associate Professor Sirichok Jungthawan
Sirichok is the Director of Center for International Affairs of Suranaree University of Technology (SUT).
Sirichok received his Ph.D. from SUT and joined the School of Physics, Institute of Science, SUT in May 2008. He is a physicist by training focused on computational materials science. He has acknowledged as an Asian Consortium on Computational Materials Science (ACCMS) lifetime member since 2014. His research interests are theoretical and computational study on electronic structure properties of semiconductors by firstâ€“principles method. During his Ph.D. study, he was a graduate student researcher at National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) and Department of Physics, Colorado School of Mines, Golden CO, USA in 2005-2006. After graduation, he had research experience aboard as a Research Fellow at Institute of Atomic and Molecular Sciences (IAMS), Academia Sinica, Taipei, TAIWAN in 2010, and a visiting fellow of ICTP Asian Network on Condensed Matter and Complex Systems in Nov-Dec 2017. He was awarded by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) for Honorable Mention Research in 2005, Honorable Mention Doctoral Dissertation in 2010, and Research Excellence in 2013. He was Research Department Head, Institute of Science, SUT in Oct 2015 to Oct 2017.
Sirichok has appointed as Director of Center for International Affairs, Suranaree University of Technology since Oct 2017.
