The entrance to Heaton Mount is via Keighley Road (A650).
If you are heading from the Skipton direction the entrance is on the right. You’ll see Lister Park in background.
If you are heading from the Bradford direction the entrance is on the left shortly after passing Lister Park and a row of shops.
Emm Lane entrance
Heaton Mount offers ample free car parking on site to delegates and guests.
Please pick up a car park pass from the reception on arrival and ensure it is correctly displayed inside your car.
Bradford has two train stations – Bradford Interchange and Bradford Forster Square. Both stations have extensive rail links, though many involve changing at Leeds.
The Interchange is where you will probably arrive. Approximate journey times are:
- London, King’s Cross – 3 hours
- Edinburgh – 4 hours
- Birmingham – 3 hours
- Manchester – 1 hour
- Leeds – 20 minutes

The Emm Lane Campus – where Heaton Mount is located – is just over two miles from the city centre.
The 662 buses leave from the Bradford Interchange at regular intervals, going along Manningham Lane.
From Forster Square station you can take the 622, 623, 625 and 626 buses which leave from Cheapside at regular intervals, also going along Manningham Lane. There is a stop at Emm Lane (about 15 minutes).
A taxi should cost around £5.00.

There are direct regular air services into Leeds/Bradford International Airport, 8 miles (13 km) from the University, from various cities around the UK and Ireland as well as from many international locations.
Bradford can be reached from the Airport by taxi at a cost of about £25. There is also an hourly bus service to Bradford Interchange at a cost of around £4.00.
Many internal and international flights can also be made into Manchester Airport, 50 miles (80 km) south-west of Bradford.
